You’re Invited to Habitat for Humanity’s Annual Meeting!!
Join us for a Potluck at 6 pm, followed by our Annual Meeting. Our guest speaker is Kahya Fox, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of the Greater LaCrosse Area. Kahya will be giving a presentation on Modular and Manufactured homes. Her affiliate is doing great work with these building types, and she is going to talk to us about how we can utilize the same building principles here in Martin-Faribault Counties!
And then our next presenter will be me (Staci) as I share with everyone information about the State Housing Tax Credit. The SHTC is fairly new, and applicable to people or businesses who have to pay the State of Minnesota taxes. In the simplest terms, if you pay $1,000 (minimum) to one of our Habitat for Humanity building projects, the state will give you an $850 tax credit. I know it sounds too good to be true, but it is true. We hope to raise enough money to cover one home’s cost this year.
Our potluck and meeting will be held Thursday, December 11th at 6:00 PM. We will gather at Hope United Methodist Church in Blue Earth. The church’s address is 12080 380th Avenue, Blue Earth 56013, right across the street from KJLY radio station. Bring your families too!
We look forward to celebrating our accomplishments in 2025, and so excited to see where 2026 will take us! Please join us!
*I promise, no attempts at recruiting will be taking place!*
