Come one, come all, to a merry evening of wassailing! Let us drink the spiced spirits of apples, honey, and berries, and go singing through the town! Let's dress in our whimsical holiday attire and bless some of our Bloomington neighbors with song.
What is Wassailing? Wassailing originally is the winter solstice tradition sharing spiced cider with fruit trees while singing to them to ward off evil spirits. The village folks seeing what fun the farmers where having doing this decided to take it to town and turn it into something more of a musical boozy trick or treating, it's the original caroling.
So let's take this idea and make our own Yuletide Wassailing Parade!
