Help us raise awareness of veteran suicide and benefit a local veteran organization while supporting the food insecure in our community. We invite veterans & community members alike to march together to raise awareness and build support.
Currently, 22 veterans take their own lives each day. We want to spread knowledge of this staggering statistic and take action to #End22ADay.
A ruck march is simply walking while carrying a load. Rucking is a common exercise in the military and helpful for improving conditioning.
The load we carry on our backs symbolizes the burden veterans carry following active duty. In this case, our load will be food items to donate to the Midwest Food Bank to help local families.
Funds raised from this event will benefit Outdoor Veterans, a local non-profit whose mission to provide healthy recreation opportunities to veterans and first responders. Stay tuned for more information.
