Jewish Theatre Bloomington (JTB) proudly presents Arthur Miller's acclaimed play, "The Price", directed by Dale McFadden.
With performances November 6, 8, 13, 15, and 16 at The Rose Firebay Theater | Waldron Arts Center.
Set in a crumbling Manhattan brownstone attic, "The Price" centers on Victor Franz, a New York City policeman who returns to his childhood home to sell the remaining possessions of his deceased father. As Victor prepares for the arrival of the furniture appraiser, he is unexpectedly reunited with his estranged brother, Walter. What begins as a practical matter of dividing property quickly spirals into a deeply personal reckoning with past decisions, lost opportunities, and the lingering impact of family obligations.
With sharp dialogue and richly drawn characters, "The Price" captures Arthur Miller’s enduring themes of identity, legacy, and the often painful cost of doing what we believe is right. "The Price" is a revival of JTB's 2011 production that received rave reviews.
