Songs & Calls

Discover how birds communicate using songs and calls, and why vocalization is essential for territory, mating, and survival. In this interactive program, participants will listen to a variety of local bird calls, learn to identify them by sound, and then create a simple, handmade clay ocarina to practice mimicry. We’ll end with a test run of our new tools and see what birds we can hear—and maybe talk back to!
