Calm abiding, tranquility—or Shamatha—meditation is a foundational Buddhist practice that can help you loosen your grip on your thoughts or emotions. We’ll experiment with methods to help us befriend our monkey mind and practice being less judgmental about what emerges as we sit or walk very slowly together.
Take a deep dive into a new mediation modality at this monthly workshop, then practice at our weekly community meditation. (You don’t have to commit to this as a series—you can sign up and show up anytime!)
People of any faith (or no faith), all body types, and all abilities are invited to explore different approaches to meditation, breathwork, posture, and the energy of meditating in a group setting. Experiment with what works for you!
You’ll have the option to meditate seated on the floor, in a chair, or lying down. The studio has bolsters, yoga mats, blankets, and chairs, but you are also welcome to bring your own mat, meditation cushion, or meditation bench with you.
Investment: $20
