I have some big news to share! I’m excited (and a little nervous!) to get started on this journey.
I am announcing my official exploratory committee to run for the Indiana House of Representatives seat for District 62 as a Democrat for the November 2026 election!
I am a Brown County attorney, former teacher and DV prosecutor, and second-term school board member. Many people also know my husband, Jim, was the elected prosecutor in Brown County for 16 years (1999-2014). I have lived in Brown, Monroe, or Bartholomew Counties for most of my life and am proud of my Hoosier roots.
I promise to work hard to listen to the voices of voters in my district. I believe our community deserves another voice to add to the Democratic House Caucus at the Statehouse—someone who will fight for working families, public schools, and making necessities affordable again, such as housing, health care, utilities, and child care.
I am hosting the 1st campaign kick-off party in Monroe County on September 9 at Crazy Horse Tavern on Kirkwood from 5-7 pm. I've included the invitation below.
The 2nd kick-off party is in Brown County on September 12 at Second Story Studio on West Main Street from 4-7 pm. I've included the invitation below.
The 3rd kick-off party is in Jackson County on September 30 at the Freetown Community Center from 4-6 pm. Watch for the invitation later on.
