As the leave change and we move from the bright days of summer to the long nights of winter, join us on Thursday, October 9th to celebrate the fall festivals that light up our community and the world.
For this event, the central hall of the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology will transform into Festival Row, where community partners will guide you through the traditions of four unique autumnal celebrations:
Dia de Los Muertos - presented by La Casa/Latino Cultural Center
Diwali - presented by Garima Plawat and other community members
Mid-Autumn Festival - presented by the East Asian Studies Center and the Asian Culture Center
Halloween - presented by the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology
But the celebration doesn’t stop there! Let your creativity shine at our hands-on activity stations, presented by the Museum and designed for all ages:
Make your own festive mask
Design a beautiful lantern
Craft a marigold garland
Design a fall greeting card for someone special
Listen to seasonal and spooky stories
Come in the fall festival attire of your choice and capture the moment at our Polaroid station!
Sip complimentary apple cider, enjoy our popcorn bar, and immerse yourself in a warm and inviting atmosphere. This celebration of culture, community, and the changing seasons is free and open to all. You won’t want to miss it!
P.S. Don’t forget to wear the fall festival attire of your choice!
Free & Open to All
