About the event

Dr. Yuri Tsivian Lecture
Join us for a lecture by Dr. Yuri Tsivian on September 9th at 5:00pm in the Fine Arts Room 015 Auditorium! Dr. Tsivian, William H. Colvin Professor Emeritus in the Departments of Art History, Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Chicago, will present "To Cut The Uncuttable: Counterfactual Edits In " ¡Que viva México!".

The lecture is followed by a screening at IU Cinema of six educational films—known collectively as Mexican Symphony—made from footage originally shot for Sergei Eisenstein’s "¡Que viva México!" at 7pm.
