Celebration of Beverly Bronson's Art
Main Gallery 404 will spotlight and celebrate the artwork of watercolorist Beverly Bronson during January 2 First Friday from 5-8 p.m. in Downtown Bloomington. After many years as an exhibiting artist at the gallery, Beverly recently passed away. In remembrance of Beverly's artistic spirit, and her enthusiasm for creating art, her work will be displayed and for sale at Main Gallery 404 throughout January. Main Gallery 404 invites the public to experience Beverly's personality and artistic talent through the artwork she leaves behind.
Beverly painted nearly every day, and approached her work with both sensitivity and whimsy, often working intuitively from imagination. Nature was Beverly's greatest inspiration, from a single flower to birds, butterflies, trees, and a variety of animals. While watercolor was Beverly's primary medium, she enjoyed experimenting with mixed media by incorporating pen and ink into her fluid, colorful paintings. Well known in the local art community, through the years Beverly also showed her work in art shows organized by Inside Out: Accessible Art, Threshold To Hope, and Art Circle of Bloomington-Normal. In April of 2020 Beverly wrote, "There is always hope, worldwide hope, especially in these chaotic times. Grateful for my spiritual gift of art, which has given me calm. Through all storms, this too shall pass." Bev will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
