Rural Placemaking Studio Webinar Series: The Impact of Creative Spaces in Rural Communities

Join us for a free webinar series hosted by the IU Rural Placemaking Studio, designed for anyone interested in strengthening quality of place, community engagement, and arts and cultural development in rural Indiana.

Whether you’re part of a local organization, town leadership, or simply passionate about your community, these sessions will offer inspiration and practical guidance to help bring creative placemaking projects to life.

This session will welcome Sarina Otaibi, Activate Rural program director, and Luwaina Al-Otaibi, The YES! House program director, with the Department of Public Transformation to share stories from The YES! House in Granite Falls, Minnesota (pop. 2,678), and from the Activate Rural Learning Lab. They will discuss navigating community engagement, residencies, and structures for stewardship of rural creative spaces.
