Bach Organ & Hymn Concert: Clavier-Übung III

Our own Jonathan Ryan is a multi-prize-winning organist who has performed throughout the world. To celebrate the 275th anniversary of the death of one of the greatest composers of all time, J.S. Bach, he performs Bach's greatest work for the organ, the Clavier-Übung III, a work rarely heard due to its difficulty. Most of the movements are based on hymns and chants that outline the Christian faith. The renowned Christ Church Choir will lead us in singing these hymns and chants, and Jonathan will explain how the music reflects them. The audience will join in some singing as well!
