Tashlikh At the Park

Blanco Methodist Church would like to invite you to celebrate Tashlikh this coming Monday, September 22, at 6:00PM. A critical part of the High Holy Days.

Tashlikh initiates a period of spiritual cleansing, a casting of sins for a clean slate and a fresh start as we enter Yom Kippur, a solemn day for fasting, prayer and the formal atonement for those sins. Tashlikh marks the beginning of "Ten Days of Repentance", encouraging personal reflection and commitment to change, setting the stage for the communal process of atonement that occurs on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.

We will begin at the church at 6:00PM and then walk to the park to cast bread which represents our sins into the water. We would love to have you join us in this evening of solemn repentance.
