Pottery wheel taster sessions with Studio Dot

Mike from Studio Dot will be here showing you how to make cups, plates, bowls or whatever you feel like creating. There is also the option to have your masterpiece glazed and fired in a colour and finish of your choice.

No previous experience is necessary as friendly instruction will be provided.

It’s a very special thing to make something. The things we make with our hands are conduits of truth, love and joy. Every time you eat lunch or have a brew you’ll be reminded of how creative, powerful and capable you are.

What is it?

Learn the fundementals of throwing clay and using your creativity to create an item using a pottery wheel.

What's included?

All equipment and materials will be provided, along with full 1-2-1 instruction.

Please wear appropriate clothing as it can get a little messy.

The standard £20 does not include a take home piece, an additional Glaze & Fire ticket can be purchased at checkout.

How much is it?

• £20 per session.
• You can choose to add on £25 if you would like your item to be glazed and fired (you can select this add on when booking your ticket)

When?

We have a selection of 30 minute sessions available on Thursday 19th, Friday 20th and Saturday 21st February 2026.

Where?

The session will take place in the Aunty Social shop.

Access

This session is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know on signup if you would like ramp access into the shop.

GETTING HERE

• Tram & Train to Blackpool North Station
• Bus: No 6 or 18 to Topping St., No 3, 3a, 5c, 6, 18 to Church St (Stanley Buildings), No 5, 5a, 5b, 6, 7a, 14 to Talbot Rd

• Driving: The closest pay and display car parks are on East Topping St and Talbot Road multi storey. There is also parking at the nearby Sainsbury’s supermarket, please make sure that you check the terms before you use the car park.

• Orders can be refunded up to 7 days before the event.
• Refunds will be subject to the Eventbrite booking fee of 6.95% + £0.59 per ticket
