Mushroom Performance Workshop

This is a one off workshop with the option of performing at our Flower Moon "The Garden of UnEarthly Delights" show Wentwortth Arts Theatre in November

This is a fun creative and kitchy "Mushroom" performance piece with simple but effective chorography for those who want to be involved in making or wearing a giant mushroom hat and being a mushroom on stage. (I mean who wouldnt want that?) A video or chorey will be provided for you to practice and a group of performing students made where you can chat and ask questions in the lead up to the show.

Costume will be a giant mushroom hat and red lingerie with white spots added. (Or whatever colour lingeries your mushroom hat is).

The show is on Sat 15th November at Wentworth Falls Arts Theatre and this will be a naughty, silly theatrical piece that is a fun way to get on stage and get involved! Blackheath location. Exact address given on booking.

Feel free to stay back for our studio crafternoon after this workshop and work on your mushroom hats!

WHAT TO EXPECT AT MOONFLOWER MOVEMENT CLASS?

Moonflower Movement classes are 55 minute somatic burlesque classes focusing on sensual burlesque and fusion styles. They are about stepping into your power celebrating your body and self and connecting with your body. We will cover burlesque with a fusion of other styles including 20s - 60s vintage dance, silk veil fan dance, bellydance and temple dance styles focusing on dance as an embodied ritual in which we honour and celebrate ourself!

The Moonflower Movement classes will help us build up a repertoire of dance movements and help you explore all the different ways to move your body and what your body is capable of with optional empowering burlesque fusion performance opportunities available to dancers future shows.The space is bathed in a tea light for each class as we connect with our bodies and each other and take back our power as beautiful, sensual dancers owning our bodies and reveling in its beauty! This is a aburlesque act where a rainbow silk veil will be used in the opening half of the routine.

Dance based in conscious and somatic movement and in connection with or body and celebrating ourselves. This is our kind of burlesque and sensual dance class fused with a whole lot more to add to your practice.

Build your connection, mind and body resilience and strength. Classes are connection and experience based not performance based however optional performance opportunities are available for students who are interested.
