September Equinox Gathering is a 2 day ceremonial fundraiser supporting the public gala screening of Old Way New Way – Creeks, a powerful film honoring cultural renewal and ecological wisdom. Held on sacred ground at Serpentine Ridge, our gathering weaves together bush tucker tasting, bush art, drumming, yarning, and planting along the Bunya Trail. It’s a celebration of Country, community, and the timeless flow between ancient knowledge and new pathways. Join us for a profound day of connection, culture, and Country as we celebrate the September Equinox at Serpentine Ridge—nestled in the heart of Widgee’s wild and sacred landscape.
WHEN Saturday 13th & 14th of September
Festivities starting from midday however feel free to come 10 am onwards to setup your camp.
All guests are entered into our lucky door prize: A 2-night stay at the Vision Temple, offering rest, reflection, and re-connection with nature.
Pot luck shared dinner on Saturday night by the campfire, share with us your favorite cultural meal.
TICKETS: $75 per person for the two day camp-out style event. Children attend free Bring your curiosity, your open heart, and your love for Country, culture, and community.

WHAT TO BRING
Bushwalking shoes, gardening gloves, hat & sun protection, yoga mat. Camping gear including, fold up chair, esky, ice, food & drinking water, camping plates, & cutlery, (we have some spare if needed). Camp kitchen has preparation space, basic camp stove & dish wash area.

WALK & TALK WITH ABORIGINAL ELDER UNCLE EUGENE BARGO - Sunday 1:30pm This guided journey invites you to walk gently through the land with beloved Elder Uncle Eugene, whose stories offer deep insight into culture, Country, and spirit.
PLACES FOR CULTURE – BUNYA TRAIL PLANTING CEREMONY - Together, we plant Bunya trees along the emerging trail—creating living totems of cultural memory and ecological restoration. As roots settle, vision grows.
FILM PRE-LAUNCH: “Old Way New Way” - Created through RADF Gympie and in collaboration with Uncle Eugene, Old Way New Way is the first chapter of “Creeks”—a cinematic journey from the Mountains to the Mangroves. It explores the evolving relationships between land, water, and people, and how these shifts shape the way we walk forward together.
VISION TEMPLE LAUNCH - Celebrate the opening of the Vision Temple—a space for dreaming, gathering, and healing. Enjoy bush tucker tastings, sip on wild teas, and feel the spirit of renewal with the Equinox sun overhead.
BUSH ART WITH MILLY - Let your creativity bloom with natural pigments, textures, and story-led art guided by Milly. Earth meets imagination in this gentle outdoor workshop.
SACRED HEART DRUM FIRE CIRCLE - As the day settles into dusk, we gather around the fire. Join us in rhythm with the Sacred Heart Drum—a communal pulse of intention, connection, and grounding.
SACRED FACE & BODY PAINTING BY MARC - Receive a ceremonial face or body painting guided by spirit and story—honoring your personal connection to Country.
CORDED BY COUNTRY NATURAL CORD MAKING WITH JADE - Create natural cordage using traditional indigenous plant materials found on site. Weave your magic as you learn.
HUMONGOUS FUNGUS - Join us on Saturday evening for a video DJ soundscape to immerse yourself in.
SUNDAY SUNRISE CACAO CEREMONY WITH PATY - Connect with your heart with a sunrise sacred cacao ceremony.
