Contemporary 2 (Ages 10 - 13)

Geared towards students with some previous dance experience, this class is an extension of the concepts learned in Contemporary 1. However, beginner dancers ages 11+ are absolutely welcome as well. This class fuses contemporary, modern, lyrical, and jazz styles for diverse dance knowledge. Each week, dancers will grow their flexibility, strength, and coordination through different dance technique exercises, floor work, turns, leaps, traveling steps, and choreography. Dancers will also gain confidence and artistic expression through fun movement activities and dance improvisation. This class has an end-of-season recital option in May.
