Ballet 1 (Ages 7 - 9)

In ballet 1, students will continue to build on the foundations of ballet technique learned in primary ballet. This class will focus on developing strength and flexibility through fundamental ballet steps at the barre and in the center. Young dancers will have a blast learning classical dance through exciting story ballet-themed classes that are filled with age-appropriate dance technique exercises, fun ballet choreography, and friendship-building games and activities. In this class, students will improve their gross motor skills, coordination, flexibility, listening/cooperation, and musicality while continuing to improve their understanding of basic French ballet terminology. This class has an end-of-season recital option in May.
