2026 Emerging Industries Conference
What do emerging industries mean for your land and community?
The Northwest Landowners Association (NWLA) is hosting a two-day educational conference to help landowners, local and state officials, and the public understand the major industries rapidly moving into North Dakota—and how they are changing land use, infrastructure, and communities. Topics include critical minerals & rare earth elements, lithium extraction from produced water, AI, data centers & crypto, pore space development, radioactive waste, CO₂ projects, legal considerations, energy needs, and other emerging industries.
Day One: Education & Information — Hear directly from industry experts, researchers, and policymakers. Expert-led presentations explain emerging industries in plain terms, cover land use, infrastructure, and legal considerations, and give you time to learn, listen, and build informed questions.
Day Two: Open Forum Q&A — Your Voice Matters — Engage directly with NWLA board members and select speakers in an open-forum discussion. Ask questions, share personal concerns, and get answers driven by attendee questions. This is your opportunity to engage directly and have your voice heard.
Staying educated is no longer optional – it is essential to protecting your land, your rights, and your family’s future.
