Two days of workshops suitable as refresher CPD for new and experienced Equine Facilitated Learning and Therapy practitioners. It's a fantastic opportunity for trained coaches and therapists curious about adding equine work to their portfolio. There are also limited opportunities for a half day experience for HR, leadership development and coaching professionals to experience a taster to support planning of future corporate events.
The days are is hosted by Equi-Scotia Community of Practice member, Claire McConnachie, who manages the riding school at Ingliston Equestrian. This outstanding facility, just a short distance from Glasgow Airport, has a hotel and restaurant on site, and plentiful indoor and outdoor spaces for learning and quiet reflection. The workshop is led by Equi-Scotia Directors and Consultants each bringing specialist training in coaching and therapy for personal and professional development.
Joanna Wood - psychology graduate, education professional and Equine Facilitated Learning practitioner and assessor. Our newest Director at Equi-Scotia Jo is leading on practitioner learning & development and has pioneered a new mentor scheme.
Julie-Anne Griffith - a Co founding Director of Equi-Scotia, Julie-Anne is an Executive Coach and Coaching Supervisor. After 40 years as an award winning British Horse Society and RDA coach she equine and executive coaching experience combined knowledge and skills in equine management to now focuses on EFL projects.
Mike Delaney - a Co founding Director for Equi-Scotia and former co-founder of LEAP Equine. Mike's specialism is in trauma and addiction equine work. Lydia Emmerson - Equi-Scotia Professional Diploma graduate and founder of Equi-Innse Gal on the Isle of Lewis. Lydia is one of our volunteer mentors who shares her her experiences as a neurodivergent learner and practitioner.
Katrina Napthine - Equi-Scotia Professional Diploma graduate and co-founder of Always Herd. Katrina is an accountant and coach (EMCC accredited) and Equi-Scotia Director overseeing governance and quality assurance.
