Exploring the sonic and visual world of Simon Fisher Turner and Daisy Dickinson.
A multi-sensory sound and video installation that dives into space and time through projections mapping new sonic abstractions. It unfolds as a cinematic passage with shifting realities and layers of analogue film and music that invites you to step into its mysterious dreamscape.
Filmed using a combination of 8mm film and digital formats, the visuals drift between the familiar and the fragmented. Landscapes blur. Time slips across distorted horizons that glide through space. A hypnotic environment where forms fracture and reform, unsettling, but always in motion, quiet, disquieting, and deeply surprising.
Shredded strings, distraught pulses, and fractured whispers drift in this space, evoking emotional states that range from meditative to disorientating, inviting a visceral passage beyond linear narrative into a lucid landscape. Together, image and sound unite into a deep sensory experience that flows between stillness and dissonance, beauty and erosion, life and death.
This is new cinema unbound: your own mind’s eye, not a linear narrative, but a visceral experience. A multi-sensory journey that disturbs and redefines the boundaries of film, installation, and sonic architecture.
WETRIP isn’t something you simply watch, it’s something you fall into, absorb. A quiet hallucination, a haunted machine, a space where you might lose your sense of self and emerge somewhere else entirely.
