• Lynette Brock: Valuing Children’s Play through a SchemaPlay Lens: Following the Child - Drawing on research and practice, Lynnette introduces five of the most common play schemas observed in children’s free-flow play. You’ll learn how to recognise these patterns and, more importantly, how to value and respond to the unique enquiries, ideas, and investigations that children pursue. Come ready to see play from a new perspective and leave with practical, research-grounded strategies you can seamlessly weave into your everyday practice.

• Rebecca Oberg will lead a high speed interactive session on Loose Parts Play, where you will see how everyday materials spark creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration in young children. In just 15 minutes, explore the theory of loose parts play and leave with simple, practical ideas you can use right away.

This event is open to all early years practitioners and staff, a chance to connect, learn, and leave with fresh ideas to champion play in your setting. A complimentary buffet dinner will be provided, along with tea and coffee!
