The only thing scarier than a jack-o-lantern, is pumpkins in the landfill! Turn them into compost while having a smashing good time!
Bring your own pumpkin or gourd to smash, or drop off extra pumpkins at CCE starting November 1st in marked area next to the compost bins to the right of the farmer's market building. All smashed pumpkins will be composted on site in our Community Compost bins.

What to Bring:
A pumpkin or gourd to smash (optional, but encouraged!)
No outside smashing tools—tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided to ensure everyone’s safety.
What to Expect:
Fun for all ages! Please note that all children under 18 must be supervised by an adult.
Everyone will need to sign an Acknowledgement of Risk Form on the day of the event before participating in pumpkin smashing.
Composting info
All smashed pumpkins will be composted on-site, helping to reduce waste and contribute to a greener community.
