Join us for a heartfelt and spiritual Blessing of the Animals Service at Leggett Memorial United Methodist Church. A time to celebrate and bless our furry, feathered, and scaled friends who bring so much joy into our lives.
About the Event:
In the spirit of Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, we invite you and your pets to a special service dedicated to blessing the animals that share our lives and our homes. Whether they meow, bark, chirp, or slither, we recognize and honor the love and joy they bring to our community.
Service Details:
The service will start promptly at 5:00 PM in our beautiful outdoor pavilion overlooking the beach. Please ensure that all pets are on leashes or in appropriate carriers for their safety.
A short and meaningful ceremony led by Pastor David Huffman, with individual blessings for each animal.
Feel free to bring a photo of your pet if they're too shy or unable to attend in person.
Picnic and Family Friendly Games to Follow:
After the service, stay for a community picnic! It's a potluck, so please bring a dish or snack to share. We'll provide some basic refreshments and a special treat for our four-legged attendees.
