Odds & Ends and Other Peculiarities of Interest In Poetry and the Writing of Poetry
Join local poet Dave Caserio for a series of poetry-focused writing workshops this fall! These are suitable for all skill levels, and you can come to one or come to them all - whatever suits your schedule.
Each session will be a combination of interesting and unique entrances into poems and the writing of poems, playful discussions concerning craft, and the pure, unabashed, pleasure (dare I say thrill?) that comes when a poem is spoken aloud or heard, all leading up to what might prompt us to write during our writing time. We will create together in a supportive, generous, and uncritical atmosphere to generate new work and explore fresh approaches to writing.
$18 for one workshop or $75 for all five. Space is limited, so please register ahead of time via This House of Books. You can either register in person at the bookstore or use the "Donation" link, put "Poetry" and the dates you would like to sign up for in the comments section of your order, and pay accordingly (1 session: $18; 2 sessions: $36, 3 sessions: $54, 4 sessions: $72, 5 sessions: $75). We will then add your name to the list!
****Bonus! If you sign up for all five lessons at $75, Dave will provide, if you wish, follow-up/feedback via email for anything that you write in those sessions.
