We launch our season with a concert full of fire, passion, and youthful brilliance. The program opens with Mussorgsky’s thrilling Night on Bald Mountain, a vivid musical portrait of swirling spirits and supernatural mystery, brought to life with powerful orchestral color. Rising star Greg Faught then takes center stage in Bottesini’s Concerto No. 1 for Double Bass — a virtuosic showpiece filled with elegance, lyricism, and dazzling technique. The evening concludes with Schumann’s profound Symphony No. 4, a masterpiece of Romantic architecture and emotional depth.
