Stop The Slide: Clay Cliffs Restoration Project Learning Lab

Have you wondered about how plants help with erosion, especially at a site as vulnerable as Clay Cliffs in Big Rapids? Are you curious about how the plants and trees are chosen and how they fit in with the natural landscape? Do you have riverfront property and have questions about how to balance human use and natural function? If so, this learning lab is for you.

Participants will explore exactly how the plants, trees, and other interventions that are part of the Clay Cliffs restoration project will work to restore this section of the site to natural function. They will also learn about how conservation and recreation intertwine in this project.

Pre-registration is recommeded. This event is hosted by the Friends of the Muskegon River- Big Rapids Chapter and the Big Rapids Community Library.
