An Evening With Author Curtis Chin

This author event with Curtis Chin is part of the Great Michigan Read fall tour. The 2025–26 Great Michigan Read is presented by Michigan Humanities. Additional support is provided by national, statewide, and local partners, including the Library of Michigan and MSU Federal Credit Union.

"Everything I learned, I learned in a Chinese Restaurant"
This "vivid, moving, funny, and heartfelt" memoir tells the story of Curtis Chin's time growing up as a gay Chinese American kid in 1980's Detroit (Lisa Ko, author of The Leavers).
Books are available for sale at Artworks or for checkout at the Big Rapids Community Library.
