In a heartwarming blend of literature and local charm, a group of talented authors will come together for a unique book showcase hosted by our club. The venue? Raymour & Flanigan Furniture and Mattress Store (Horseheads, NY) is not your typical library or bookstore, but a beloved neighborhood furniture store, and this is where stories and sofas will share the spotlight.
While visitors wander through the store’s inviting layout, they will discover authors nestled among armchairs, coffee tables, and cozy reading nooks. Each author will have their own “living room” setup, creating an intimate and relaxed atmosphere that will encourage conversation, connection, and curiosity. From memoirs and mysteries to poetry and children’s tales, this event will offer a rich tapestry of genres, all presented in a setting that will feel like home.
Come chat with the authors over plush ottomans, flip through pages beside rustic bookshelves, and even imagine reading your new find in the very chair you will be sitting in.
Our club’s involvement adds a layer of community spirit, with members on hand to welcome guests, serve refreshments, and share the club’s mission of supporting local initiatives.
