Founded in 1997, the Holcomb Valley Trail Run is one of Southern California’s classic mountain races, taking place in the breathtaking high country above Big Bear Lake. The course winds through Holcomb Valley, an area rich in natural beauty and cultural significance.

Runners traverse trails that cross alpine meadows, ancient pines, and rugged ridgelines with sweeping views, following paths shaped by both Indigenous heritage and frontier history. With 7 Mile, 14 Mile, and 33 Mile distance options plus a kids run, the race offers something for every trail runner, from newcomers to seasoned ultrarunners.
