AWARD-WINNING JAZZ SINGER AT BEAVER
Award-winning jazz singer/pianist Liane Carroll makes an annual visit to the The Beaver, Appledore on 29 September.
Voted several times as the UK’s best jazz vocalist Liane sings every song as though she owns it. She has been described as ‘deeply soulful, wonderfully honest’ by The Times, and by Jazzwise Magazine as possessing ‘ that rare ability to meld effortless, often transcendent, vocal and piano technique, with heart stopping emotion and soul bearing power’.
Accompanying herself in a rollicking, bluesy piano style Liane has enthralled audiences at Ronnie Scott's Club, Pizza Express, Glastonbury Festival, the Proms and many other venues in the UK and abroad.
Liane will be joined by her husband Roger Carey who is bass guitarist with Steeleye Span. The gig starts at 8.30 p.m. Entry will be free but there will be a collection during the evening for. For a meal booking please phone The Beaver on 01237 474822.
