Join me (the sole official participant… by design) as I attempt the annual midnight run across Bideford Old Bridge.
𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁:
Participants, meaning me, will gather by the traffic lights on the bridge next to the Royal Hotel (which has absolutely no involvement in this event whatsoever).
Supporters, cheerleaders, and confused bystanders are invited to assemble on the pavement by the same traffic lights.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝘂𝗻:
At the stroke of midnight, I will heroically sprint from East-the-Water across to Bideford, symbolically “running in” the New Year like a budget Olympic torchbearer.
𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗿:
This is officially a one-person event. If anyone else chooses to run at the same time, that’s entirely of their own free will, questionable judgement, and enthusiasm. No registration, no tickets, no medals, just 𝘷𝘪𝘣𝘦𝘴.
Come along for a laugh, a cheer, or to witness what will probably be the most anticlimactic athletic event of the year.
Willing to wear brand merch for food or money.
