Eglinton Hill Bird Sanctuary: public meeting for the launch on Tuesday, 18th November, 7 – 9pm in the Library Bar, Shrewsbury House, SE18 3EG.
We welcome anyone who would like to get involved.
I am arranging a 500 A5 leaflet print for the event which should be ready by Monday 20th October. If anyone is available to help distribute the leaflets around Shooters Hill, please let me know.
Upon the launch of the Community Interest Company, ‘Friends of Eglinton Hill Bird Sanctuary’ a Chair, Treasurer and Secretary is needed. If you would like to put yourself forward for one of these roles we would be delighted to hear from you. Additionally, if there is any specific skill or role you could offer in providing support for the Bird Sanctuary and nature to thrive, please get in contact.
Short term goals
• Make the site safe and secure
• Tree and ecological surveys
• Build a community of volunteers
• Health and Safety work risk assessments
Long term goals
• New boundary fencing or hedge
• Grant applications and fundraising
• Maintain and develop the site for birds and wildlife to thrive
• Organise small group visits from the community
