HANDS OFF BEVERLY

HANDS OFF BEVERLY is a group of people who believe that Trump 2.0 is a clear and present danger to almost everything that we as Americans hold dear and sacred. We believe in Democracy, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press, Social Services, Free Universities, Separation of Power between 3 branches of Government, Research, Foreign Aid, Rule of Law, Anti Corruption Laws, Truth, Science, Facts, Climate Change, Reality, Women's Rights, Equality for All! And we believe that EVERYBODY in this country has the right to pursue freedom, happiness and advancement within the borders of the law and without having to be afraid. And that EVERYBODY has the right to due process. It is those liberties that made America the greatest country in the world! Without it, America is just another corrupt country at the mercy of one dictator and his crew. The reason that HANDS OFF BEVERLY exists is to show that we are not prepared to lose any of these basic principles and will resist with all we can. We are aware that our two weekly protests in Beverly will not change the course taken by the Trump administration. We are there to support each other and inspire others to join us or at least to show them that they are not alone. While there we are having a great time with our own DJ coming up with awesome tunes. You will love the way you feel after each protest. Elated and hopeful. We have been protesting in Beverly every week since February 17, 2025. If you feel like us, please join us or spread the word. All are welcome as long as you can adhere to our basic rule of peaceful protests. We do not engage with anybody there to provoke us. We know that we cannot convince a MAGA supporter (victim) of the truth and facts. We will not try to and disengage with anybody who is trying to egg us on. This is not always easy but absolutely necessary. We have our own marshals identified by their yellow vests. They are there to help keep everybody safe and guide people if necessary. We will respect others at our location who are not there to protest but to do their business in the area. We will keep sidewalks and bike lanes as well as parking spots clear for others to use. We will try to support the businesses around our site of protest; Sala Restobar, The Castle, Harbor Sweets and the Borah’s Market on the corner. We are mindful that our 1 hour presence may cause a momentary disruption to their business, and we will try to make up for it with our patronage.
