Join homeowner Susan Gottlieb and naturalist Scott Logan for a guided tour exploring the garden's flora and fauna, as well as maintenance practices to keep this urban oasis at its best. To provide further insight and illustrations, copies of the book will be available for purchase.
This experience extends the Theodore Payne Foundation's Annual Native Plant Garden Tour by spotlighting exceptional native plant gardens year round. This visit will include an intimate discussion with the homeowner and/or designers with time afterward for exploration and socializing.
About the Garden:
The Gottlieb Native Garden is a one-acre urban oasis that includes many mature natives, some more than 25 years old, alongside more recent plantings, all of which attract legions of hummingbirds, songbirds, insects, and other local fauna. A staircase leads down a steep back hillside, handsomely terraced and planted with slope-stabilizing natives. Other highlights: a running stream, water features designed for birds, a fine succulent collection, and an exemplary cat run that give felines time outside while keeping the birds (and cats) safe.
This guided tour is not wheelchair accessible. It will be held outdoors and traversing over stepped terrances. The address will be sent to attendees two days before the event. Street parking is available.
Refund Policy: If you are feeling sick or experiencing covid-19 symptons we urge you to stay home. Please note refunds/credit are not available within 7 days of the event.
