Presenting a lovely little Liederabend, just in time for Oktoberfest!
"Was ist ein Liederabend?" you might be thinking - and if you're already thinking in German, you're on the right track. An intimate concert of "Lieder" or German art songs that dates back about 200 years to a time when those with means would sponsor composers and singers to perform for invited guests. This concert will maintain all the story-telling and drama of Lieder performances, but this time we feature FOUR talented singers plus pianist who will bring these stories to life. The invited guests? All of you!
Our Liederabend will take place at the beautiful and acoustically rich St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Westwood, just next to UCLA. The concert will be "pay-what-you-can" in order to make it more accessible to the community, students, and other artists. Proceeds will go to the church food bank, which serves UCLA students.
Starring:
- Adam McCrory, baritone and producer
