Join the City of Bethlehem for a workshop exploring ways to expand housing options for residents.
One option under consideration is creating additional living units on existing lots, sometimes called in-law suites, alley
houses, backyard cottages, or Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). These are independent homes located on the same property as the main house, and can take many forms: a converted basement or attic, an apartment above a garage, or a small cottage in the backyard or along an alley.
The workshop is designed to be welcoming, hands-on, and easy
to follow, whether someone is new to the idea of accessory dwelling units or already familiar with the City’s work. The goal is to share clear information, make the topic tangible, and give residents a meaningful way to shape decisions.
