40-Hour Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training

Grand River CIT Council will host a 40 Hour Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training
DATES: October 15, 16, 17, 20, 21
8:00 am - 5:00 pm each day (must attend full 40 hours for POST credit and CIT Certification
LOCATION: First Baptist Church, 302 N 22nd St, Bethany, MO

WHAT IS CIT:
Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training equips first responders with specialized skills to safely respond to individuals experiencing mental health crises. These responders prioritize de-escalation and work closely with the mental health system to connect individuals to treatment and services instead of the criminal justice system. CIT reduces injuries, deaths, and community tensions while increasing public confidence and ensuring people in crisis receive appropriate care.
