Girls Rock is a FREE female-led, female-participant “try curling” event, for girls aged 9-16, that focuses on FUN experiences, new SOCIAL connections, and creating welcoming spaces for girls to share the JOY of curling.
The Berwick Junior Curling Program will be hosting Girls Rock at the Berwick Curling Club
When? Saturday, January 31, 2026
What time? 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where? Berwick Curling Club - Larsen Curling Centre - 250 Veterans Drive, Berwick (inside the Kings Mutual Century Centre/AppleDome, first door on your right)
Cost: Absolutely nothing - This is a FREE EVENT!
Goals of Girls Rock:
1. Introduce curling in a fun, safe, and inclusive space for girls of all backgrounds, sparking interest in sport and building confidence to try something new.
2. Challenge limiting beliefs by showing girls what they’re capable of—reshaping their perceptions of their potential through positive sport and social experiences.
3. Promote friendship, leadership, and self-esteem by supporting girls’ physical, mental, social, and emotional development through play and teamwork.
4. Showcase women role models and encourage life-long participation in sport—helping address gender inequities and inspiring lasting involvement from girls, families, and communities.
