International Overdose Awareness Day is the world's largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died, and acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind.
The campaign raises awareness of overdose, which is one of the world's worst public health crises, and stimulates action and discussion about evidence-based overdose prevention and drug policy.
On August 30th, 2025 Jeremy's Journey will host our 8th annual candlelight vigil, a free community event which honors those who have lost their lives to substance use disorder and supports those in recovery through a variety of speakers, memorials, and on-site resources. Narcan will be available. The event concludes with a candle lighting ceremony and speaking of names in memory of all lives lost to overdose. Candles will be provided.
Can You See Me Now banners and PA Drug Epidemic Awareness Walk Across America banners will be on display.
Guests are encouraged to bring framed photos of their loved ones for the memorial table.
