NANSEN SKI CLUB, PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE

On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 6pm, Scott Halvorsen and Shawn Costello of the Friends of the Nansen Ski Jump will share their knowledge of the past, present, and future all things Nansen in Northern NH. This talk will include progress on the Big Nansen restoration project and about competitive jumping returning to Nansen. This program is free and open to the public. Attendees can join in person at the White Mountains Community College Fortier Library. To attend this event remotely via Zoom, preregistration is required at www.wmcc.edu/library-events/

In addition, White Mountains Community College is delighted to help celebrate the Nansen Ski Club’s Winter Carnival with an exhibit of historical artifacts on display in the Fortier Library’s gallery. Come in from the cold to enjoy this schuss down the slope of Berlin’s rich skiing history. Items in this mixed-media exhibition are on loan from the Berlin & Coos County Historical Society as well and the Nansen Ski Club. Beginning on January 7th and running through the month of January, guests are welcome to visit the WMCC Library Monday through Thursday from 2pm to 6pm (closed weekends and holidays).
