As posted, due to the new date, we have organised two additional opportunities for you to come and run the Red’s Backyard Ultra course to get a feel for the terrain, what shoes to wear, and what pace to maintain to successfully complete a loop (and more), and to experience a Backyard Ultra format if not already completed one. Or excitedly, to have the opportunity to run with our local legend Jono and wish him good luck before he heads off to Big's to represent Australia!
We have a committee member running three loops, however you are more than welcome to do more if you are keen. If you are thinking of doing more, don’t forget to post in the event comments as you may find someone else who will be happy to join you. This event is also extended to people who have not registered for Red’s and would like to experience a Backyard Ultra format. If this is you and you are up for the challenge, come along, we’d love to have you join.
Don’t forget, this is an informal run and therefore your attendance is at your own risk. We will not have access to the clubhouse facilities, nor will the course be fully marked. Please ensure you bring all your nutrition, hydration and gear you’ll need with you.
We will be meeting on the big grass area in front of the Kembla Joggers Clubhouse. We will start at 2 pm to keep to a Backyard Ultra format however will be there from about 1:40 pm. I will post a location pin in the comments.
