Welcome to Holmgang kendo competition.
This is a kendo Competition with no elimination and all competitors go an equal amount of matches.
This will take place in Bergen, Norway on the weekend of September 20-21.2025

About the competition:
There will be a total scoreboard for all the matches, top 3 with total highest number of victories will win first-, second- or third place. In case of equal number of victories, ippons will determine the winners. After that hiki-wake counts, and if there is still any doubt, champion matches will be held.
The number of fights is determined by the number of registered competitors, and will be announced along with the drawing in advance of the competition.
In the event of an odd number of competitors registered, each round will include a rotating break.
All Fights will be on 1 Shiai-Jo and All matches will last for 3 minutes maximum.
The competition will take place during both days if possible.
All kendoka age 16 and up can attend this competition. (turning 16 this year).
We wil make an exception of the age rule for Kendoka who made 1.dan or Higher.
If this is your first competition, you will meet competitors more experienced than you.
We suggest talking whit your club instructor in advance before registering for the Holmgang Kendo competition.

09-09.30 warm up. Line up.
09.45 - 12.00 Competition
12.00 - 12.45 lunch.
12.45 - 14.30 Competition
Keiko until 16.00.
Sunday
Warm up 9-09.30 (hall is open from 08)
09.45 - 14.00. Competition
(30 min lunch somewhere, depending on numbers of participants).
Medals cermony
Keiko, hall is open until 16.00.
Competition Fee:
Partisipation fee is 450NOK.
Afther you have Registerd for the Competition you wil get a confirmation E-mail whit payment details.
