𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝘁 𝗘𝗽𝗼𝘀 is a traveling cultural venue with a long tradition of visiting coastal communities on the west coast of Norway. Epos served as a floating library from the 1960s until 2020. Today, the boat is a mobile cultural arena run by its own foundation, hosting readings, exhibitions, school visits in collaboration with libraries, festivals, and local partners.

In collaboration with Bergen Assembly 2025, Epos is hosting the art program 𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳. The program fills Epos with artist residencies, readings, conversations, film screenings, and performances. It is aimed at audiences in Bergen, Sunnhordland, and Hardanger, and is developed in collaboration between artists and institutions along the route!

During the opening weekend of Bergen Assembly, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟭–𝟭𝟰, we will present a rich program of events. The boat will embark on three journeys between Bergen and the Textile Industry Museum in Salhus, where the public can experience 𝗝𝗮𝗸𝗸𝗮𝗶 𝗦𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗿’𝘀 work on display there, along with a program of readings and workshops. Come aboard!
