Journaling Through Grief

The group will meet every second and fourth Tuesday from Jan. 14 through June 24 at the Madison County Public Library located at 319 Chestnut Street in Berea.

Our Journaling Through Grief series is facilitated by professional staff offering peer support and compassionate dialogue while utilizing the Understanding Your Grief text and journal by Dr. Alan Wolfelt. All materials are provided by Hospice Care Plus. Enrollment is limited to 12 people.

Denise McKinney, our grief support coordinator, says the weekly group is relaxed and informal. “Taking the time and space to sit with our grief through writing honors our loved ones and helps us process a new way of living in their absence,”
says Denise.

Our Grief & Loss Support Services are available to the families of those we care for as well as to residents of our six-county service area: Estill, Jackson, Lee, Madison, Owsley, and Rockcastle counties.

Our grief and loss events, groups, and gatherings are provided to our community at no charge.
