JoCo Angels is hosting an Overdose Awareness Day event for children who have lost a parent to addiction related death or overdose. This event will be held on October 11th at Benson Singing Grove from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, providing a space for children to honor their loved ones and receive support. Don’t worry, we will still have music, speakers, and a candle light vigil to honor all of our loved ones lost to overdose. You do not have to have a child or be a child to enjoy this event and honor your loved ones.
💜 Our vision
To create a compassionate, fun environment where children can safely express their emotions, connect with others who understand their experiences, and begin healing. Activities are designed to help them process their grief and remember their parents in a positive way. The goal is to show them they are not alone and can find hope and support.
💜Partner with us
JoCo Angels seeks support from local churches, recovery resources, and social services to make this event successful. Interested organizations are invited to join in planning and providing care for children during this challenging time.
