SYP Fall Group Hike with the Green Mountain Club

Join us for another group hike with our friends at the Green Mountain Club – this time in Woodford, VT! 🍂

We will head out at a relaxed pace out and back along a beautiful wilderness stream, Bolles brook. This will include a hike 3 to 4 miles on a forest service road, with mild elevation gain. At the turn around point, we will explore remains of charcoal kilns, which were active in the late 1800's, and connected to Bennington via a trolley line.

Fun fact: Bolles brook road was the route of the Long Trail up until the 1970's!

We will meet at the Bennington Rec Center on Gage St at 1pm, then carpool to the trail head 10 minutes down the road.

This group hike is open to all young professionals and newcomers to the area!
