The Golden Square & Long Gully Veterans Centre is proud to present the Cinderfella Ball — a signature fundraising event with a mission: to restore and preserve the historic Rocky Vale Villa and support our veteran community.
Why We’re Hosting the Cinderfella Ball
Rocky Vale Villa is more than a heritage property — it’s a living legacy. Built in the late 1800s, this stunning Victorian-era home has been part of the Golden Square streetscape for generations. Since October 2024, a small team assembled with a focus to preserve Rocky Vale Villa - Veterans Precinct project and this goal has served as the beating heart of the Veterans Precinct, in conjunction with our veterans centre offering welfare services, camaraderie, and a sense of belonging to those who have served in the Australian Defence Force and their families.
The Cinderfella Ball is our way of bringing the community together to celebrate service, remember sacrifice, and raise the funds needed to make Rocky Vale Villa weatherproof, safe, and future-ready.
The Logo: A Symbol of Service and Remembrance
Our event logo features poppies — the eternal emblem of remembrance — arranged in a heritage-style crest. It proudly displays the words Veterans Golden Square Long Gully Veterans Centre, surrounded by intricate detail that honours both tradition and resilience. The design reflects our dual mission: to safeguard the Villa’s historic beauty while strengthening the future of veteran support in the region.
