Add a touch of eerie elegance to your home with this beginner-friendly stained glass class! In this two-session workshop, you'll create a striking spider-web panel designed to hang in the upper corner of a window or doorway—perfect for Halloween decorating or anyone who loves a little spooky charm year-round.
What You’ll Make
You’ll create a spooky spider‑web panel that fits snugly into a corner, measuring approximately 9" x 9". With dramatic textured glass and bold solder lines, this web casts beautiful shadows and looks especially magical when the light hits just right. You’ll choose from a variety of specialty clear textures to personalize your piece and bring your own unique twist to the design.
Finished with soldered hanging rings and a chain, your spider web will be ready to display in any room that needs a spooky sparkle.
Day 1: In the first class, you will learn about glass types, how to score and break glass for complex pattern designs, grinding the finish shape, and applying copper foil.
Homework: Most students do not finish grinding and foiling their pieces during the initial class. For those that need it, you will be able to book time in our Glass Studio Thursday - Sunday in between classes to finish.
Day 2: During the second class, you will solder, make and add attach hooks, add patina (if desired), wax and your sun-catcher will be ready to hang.
