SONIC BENDERS, THE VIBESHIFTAS & BROTHERS REED @ MCMENAMINS OKTOBERFEST

This Saturday the 27th, Bend’s own dance-driven Roots Funk supergroup SONIC BENDERS & Bend’s original Progressive Soul artists THE VIBESHIFTAS along w/ THE BROTHERS REED play a FREE 8+ HOUR SHOW at McMenamins Oktoberfest between 1pm and 9:30pm in Father Luke’s Room. SONIC BENDERS will feature special sub bassist Jacob Rubanowitz (Yak Attack) and some of Bend’s funkiest and most prolific musicians: “Brother Gabe” Johnson (Watkins Glen/MFG) on guitars, Patrick Ondrozeck (Company Grand, TEB, Stealhead) on keys, Dylan Bernal (The Rusty Frets) on drums and Jarrod Donatelli (Fractal) on percussion. Drawing on some of Central Oregon's finest musicians, lauded singer/songwriter Sean Alan (formerly of The Bond Brothers) has assembled The VibeShiftas, a four-piece band that unites, heals and imbues joy, love and deeply funky groove sensibilities into every song they perform. Combining elements of Soul, Funk, Reggae, Gospel and Rock into a unique blend all their own that they call “Progressive Soul”.
